13-15/11/2009 Rotorua Trip with Kent and Charlie

The weekend certainly was delightful! We drove down via Tirau where we stopped to admire the corrugated iron works by Jeff Thomson, then headed straight to Orakei Korako Cave and Thermal Park situated in between Rotorua and Taupo. The scenery was amazing! After the walk in the adventure land, we spent a relaxing evening in Rotorua town and immersed ourselves in the magical springs in Polynesian Spa. The next day we went horse riding in Paradise Vally, was totally fun but also very tiring. We therefore decided to take it slow, very slow.. and spent the entire afternoon wandering around the countryside, and bathing in Waikite Vally Spa... yeaaaah. The water was so fresh and natural that we got to see the source where it came from, boiling at 98 degress! On the final day we had a walk around the Blue Lake before we drove back to Auckland via Tauranga. Pity the weather was a bit grey, but we really had fun on this trip :)

Photos collected from Kent and Charlie and of course mine too.
